Murat Ülker - Chairman of the Board of Directors
Graduated from the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Boğaziçi University, Murat Ülker attended several training courses abroad at the beginning of his professional life and worked as a trainee at Continental Banking in the USA. Mr. Ülker worked in the export field for two years in the Middle East, and also examined almost 60 factories and facilities operating in the biscuit-chocolate and food industry in the United States and Europe for three years. During this period, Mr. Ülker took part in various International Service Corps (IESC) projects. Mr. Ülker started his career at Ülker Group in 1984 as Control Coordinator. In the following years, he served the Group in several positions, including Assistant General Manager Responsible for Facilities and General Manager. While serving as an Executive Committee member and a Board Member in various Group companies, Mr. Ülker managed many new investments, following the “Vertical Integration” model. Having become the Chairman of the Executive Board in 2000, Mr. Ülker has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2008.
Ali Ülker - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors
Ali Ülker was born in 1969. He attended the Faculty of Economics and Business Management at Boğaziçi University and participated in various training programs at IMD and Harvard Universities. He also worked at De Boccard & Yorke Consultancy Company, In-company Kaizen Studies (1992) and IESC Sales System Development and In-company Organization Project (1997). He began his career in 1985 as an intern in Ülker Foods A.Ş.'s Quality Control Department. From 1986 to 1998, Ali Ülker worked at the chocolate production facilities at Atlas Gıda Marketing A.Ş., first as a trainee and then as Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, Product Group Coordinator and Product Group Manager. In 1998, he became the General Manager of Atlas Gıda Marketing. In 2001, he left to become the General Manager of Merkez Gıda Marketing. He was transferred to the Foods Group as Vice Chairman in 2002. In 2005 he was appointed as the Group Chairman. In 2011, he was assigned as an Assistant Chairman at Yıldız Holding Board of Directors. Ali Ülker's interests include playing basketball and billiards, fishing, cinema and reading. He is married and is the father of three children. He is fluent in English and German.
Dr. Halil Cem Karakaş - Board Member
Dr. Karakaş is a Board Member and the Chief Financial Officer of Yıldız Holding since January 2010. Dr. Karakaş also manages non-food subsidiaries of Yıldız Holding, which is the largest food company across the Middle East, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe. With experience in more than hundred transactions, Dr. Karakaş is a leading expert in M&A and corporate restructurings in Turkey. Prior to Yıldız Holding, he served as the Group Finance Manager (CFO) and Board Member of Turkey's largest industrial enterprise Erdemir Group and 2001-2006, he directed the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at OYAK, Turkey's largest private pension provider and institutional investor. During this period, he also served as board member at some of the leading companies in Turkey and was the General Manager at Oyak Konut. Dr. Karakaş began his career at the Koç Group. Dr. Karakaş received his undergraduate degree in business administration at Middle East Technical University. He holds the master's degree in finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received Ph.D. in finance at the Istanbul University. Born in 1974, Dr. Karakaş is married with one daughter and one son.
Hüseyin Avni Metinkale - Board Member
Born in 1963, H. Avni Metinkale graduated from the Department of Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. He started his career as Project Specialist in 1986 at Albaraka Türk Katılım Bank and continued to serve the bank until he was appointed as a Founding Member of the Board of Directors of Pripack A.Ş. Following the partnership between Yıldız Holding and Pripack A.Ş., Metinkale served the Holding in several executive positions and was appointed as the Executive Vice-President of the Packing Department. In 2005, Metinkale became the Vice President of Packing Department and was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Yıldız Holding. Currently he is a Board Member in various companies of Yıldız Holding while serving as the General Manager of Yıldız Holding.
Erman Kalkandelen - Board Member
Erman Kalkandelen is Country Manager responsible for the research of companies in Turkey, Middle East and Eastern Europe. He works on emerging markets, small companies and Turkish stocks products. He is also board member at Defacto Perakende Ticaret A.Ş., Şok Marketler Ticaret A.Ş. And Gözde Girişim Sermayesi Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş. Erman Kalkandelen graduated with honors degree from Sabancı University MBA program. During his MBA studies, he spent a period of specializing in strategic management at the University of Florida Warrington Business School. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University with honors degree in the program of working economics. He speaks English and Turkish.
İbrahim Taşkın - Board Member
İbrahim Taşkın was born in 1965 and after completing his primary school in Artvin, he went to high school in Istanbul. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, at Istanbul University in 1986. He completed his mandatory military service as an officer. İbrahim Taşkın worked as a professor in Florya Police training center and lectured constitutional law, criminal law, police vocational laws and regulations. He is a member of Istanbul Bar and has been practicing law since 1989. He was involved in politics between 1996 and 2004 at different levels. He is serving as an executive or member in various foundations and associations. Besides working as a lawyer, he is the Head of law department at Yıldız Holding. He is married with four children.
Ceyda Aydede – Independent Board Member
Ceyda Aydede graduated from İzmir American Collegiate Institute and received her Bachelor’s degree from Boğaziçi University, Department of Industrial Engineering. She completed retail communication program at Hesser College (New Hempshire, USA).

Aydede began her career as an assistant auditor at Arthur Anderson between 1977-1979. She worked as Sales Manager (between 1979-1986) and as Public Relations and Research Manager (between 1986-1989) at Migros T.A.Ş. In 1989, Aydede established Global Tanıtım ve Halkla İlişkiler and she sold majority shares of the company to WPP in 2008. Aydede continued to serve as the Chairwoman of the new company, Global Hill and Knowlton until 2013. Today, she is one of the shareholders of H+K Strategies. Aydede had lectured on public relations at various universities for over 20 years.

She is the author of four books: PR Campaigns, A Professional Relationship: Media and Public Relations, Blog Age with Virtual Media Diaries and A Rising Trend: Corporate Social Responsibility. During her career, she has received several awards. In 2000, she was given the “Most Successful Women of their Sector” award by Dünya Newspaper and “Women Entrepreneur of the Year” award by Ekonomist Magazine in 2002. She was chosen as the most successful PR persona of Turkey representing the country at the global arena by Ankara PR Society in 2002. Atlas Award for Lifetime Achievement in International Public Relations given by PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) was also bestowed upon her in 2008. In 2010 she was awarded the “Leadership” Award by Eduplus during 7th Leadership Summit in 2010 and “Hall of Frame” award from Communication Consultancies Association of Turkey in 2018.

Ceyda Aydede who served as the President of IPRA (International Public Relations Association) in 2003, is also a member of the TUHİD (Turkish Public Relations Association) and founder member of KAGİDER (Women's Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey). She is a member of the board of trustees of Boğaziçi University Foundation, and the Health and Education Foundation of which she served as the Chairwoman between 2013-2015.
Prof. Dr.Mehmet Aydın Müderrisoğlu - Independent Member of the Board of Directors
Born in 1948, Mehmet Aydin Müderrisoğlu, graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Middle East Technical University in 1971. In 1972, he went to the US to complete his master's degree in business administration (MBA) at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his PhD degree in marketing at Pennsylvania State University. He gave lectures as marketing and business administration professor at Houston University Business Scholl in 1980 – 1987 and served as a professor at Massachusetts Babson College and Harvard University in 1987 – 1995. Mehmet Aydin Müderrisoğlu returned to Turkey in 1995 to join Koç Holding as Vice President of Strategic Planning. He joined to Oyak Group in 2000 as Deputy General Manager of New Business Development and served as General Manager and Consultant at Ereğli Demir Çelik Fabrikaları T.A.Ş.
Şükrü Ergun Münir - Independent Board Member
Şükrü Ergun Münir was born in 1964 and completed his education at Harrow School in England. He was with Merrill Lynch as First Deputy Vice President and Director at London, Geneva and Monte Carlo offices during 1991-1999. He later established the Galaxy Group. He is fluent in English and French. He is married and has 2 children.

Ertan Kirez - CEO
Ertan Kirez graduated from the department of Physics at Boğaziçi University in 1998 and received his Executive MBA from Sabancı University. He started his career at Garanti Bank as a Commercial Banking Portfolio Specialist. Between the years 2002 and 2007, Ertan worked as a Finance Manager in Koyuncu Electronics. In 2007, he joined Index Group and assumed the roles of Finance and Accounting Manager in Datagate Bilgisayar A.Ş. and Credit Control & Collections Group Manager in Indeks A.Ş. He joined Mersa Electronic and Technology Products Trading A.Ş. as Finance Manager in 2009. Between 2011-2016, he worked as CFO in Penta Technology and then he worked as CFO at Retail Group. Between 2018-2019 he worked as the Assistant General Manager responsible from Finance and Operations at Penta Technology.
